CAUTION!
We urge you to avoid non-independent, non-accredited certification boards. Many claim they are both, but they are not. If you have a problem with a license board, it's extremely difficult to make a favorable agreement with them if you are certified by one of these boards.
In the industry, medical licensing boards often refer to such organizations as "paper mills." In the US, Canada, Europe and most other countries, "paper mills" are illegal. But they get away with breaking the law until something bad happens -- like you lose our business for life; and make an issue of that fact.
Paper Mills are controlled by a manufacturer, distributor, dealer or education organization -- or the paper mill controls the education association, manufacturer, distributor or dealer. The certification you receive from either type of paper mill is an expensive piece of paper with no credibility.
Lacking credibility, most boards have no problem finding you guilty of practicing their profession without a license. This includes counseling, massage therapy, medical and psychology boards.
Licensed professionals are also at risk when they lose credibility. All of these boards and some chiropractic and nursing boards will suspend your license if and when they discover you are practicing some techniques, modalities and interventions with certification from a paper mill.
